A 26-year-old woman in Bengaluru, accidentally slipped from the 8th floor and lost her life, falling on the ground.

Chandana Nagesh, the deceased was a software engineer with Infosys. She was on her maternity leave and has delivered a baby boy, six days ago.

The incident took place around 6.30 pm at her residence at the SNN Raj Serenity gated community on Begur Main Road, Yelenahalli, off Bannerghatta Road.

As per the police sources, Chandana, who just took the shower, came to the bedroom to dry her hair. She then opened the sliding glass window and while peeping through it, she slipped and crashed straight on the cement floor below.

Chandana’s mother-in-law Meenakshi and her mother Manjula Nagesh, who came to look after the baby, were shocked at the incident and rushed to the spot along with the guards, to find her in the pool of blood.

Chandana's family members then rushed the woman to the hospital nearby, but unfortunately, she was declared as brought dead.     

After conducting the postmortem, Chandana's body was handed over to the family members, who later took it to Mandya, for the final rites.

Police had registered the case as the unnatural death and are investigating it for the further details if any. Her husband Abhilash is a software engineer with Siemens.
