A 28-year-old woman working with a dance bar in Kolkata, was gang raped inside a moving SUV in the IT hub of Salt Lake.

As per the complaint lodged by the woman, she was thrown out of the car, after sexually assaulted by a group of men, who dragged her inside the vehicle, while she was about to enter a restaurant. A taxi driver noticed the woman, lying at an empty spot near Baisakhi and took her to the lady’s house in Baguihati.

The victim who was sent to Bidhanagar sub-divisional hospital for the medical examination, also told the police that, her belongings like phone and purse, were taken away by the culprits. As of now, no has been arrested, but the police assured to trace out the culprits soon.

Reportedly, the woman, who was trying to go to a local restaurant, got confused with the route and landed in the Sector V area.

The police refused to open up about the place of the victim. Sources say that, the woman worked at a restaurant and used to stay as a paying guest at Baguihati area for the past 3 years.
