Lawyers Protest Outside Courts in AP

The lawyers have boycott courts demanding transfer of judicial officers from Andhra to Andhra Pradesh State. They also demanded bifurcation of unified High Court across the district.

This agitation has entered fifth day on Friday. All the lawyers refused to go to the court. They have locked the gates preventing judicial officers from entering the court halls. Later, they also staged a dharna on the court premises.

Speaking on this issue, advocates said “as many as 106 judicial officers from AP were appointed in Telangana in the latest recruitment. Injustice was meted out to Telangana in the field of judiciary in the sixty-year Andhra rule and was continuing even after the separate State was formed”.

The agitation continued till the decision of transferring Andhra judicial officers was taken. They also decided on the bifurcation of the High Court.

Senior advocates M. Rajender Reddy, Asha Narayana, Bhaskar, Madhusudhan Rao and Yedla Ramu and juniors Jagan Mohan Goud with others were present.
