Congress Leader Hanumantha Rao Arrested

After Kapu leader, Mudragada Padmanabham got arrested for sitting on hunger strike and creating a ruckus, senior Congress leader Hanumantha Rao was arrested in Rajamandry on Sunday. The leader tried to meet Padmanabham after which police were forced to arrest him.

Police searched VHR residency and arrested him after he tried to run away. He was shifted to the one-town police station.

VHR strongly condemned TDP government on Kapu reservation movement.

Meanwhile, YSRCP spokesperson Ambati Rambabu demanded that Mudragada should be presented before the media as people are worried about his health.

Ambati questioned "Why this government is so afraid to allow media to meet Mudragada? Why is he being treated like a terrorist such as Kasab and Rajamandry has become a Pakistan.?”

Arza Prasad, a Kapu leader based in Eluru has filed a complaint to NHRC. The complaint stated that Mudragada was illegally arrested . NHRC has accepted the complaint and assigned it diary number 1626422.

At various places people staged the dharna, demanding to release there leader Mudragada.
