In a tragic incident, a youth hailing from Machlipatnam was feared drowned in the Livermore river, California, U.S. on Sunday evening.
According to the officials, Putta Naresh, 24 was pursuing his second year of the two-year Masters in Science program in a California-based university. He had joined the course after completing MCA course from JNTU, Hyderabad.
According to sources. Naresh’s friends called up his parents and informed them that he went missing in the river after he slipped from the boat. Nandigama Deputy Superintendent of Police Uma Maheswara Rao told that they did not receive any communication to this effect either from the U.S. police or from the Indian authorities.
Search operation is going on and the youth parents have lodged a missing report.
