Pawan Kalyan’s Powerful Speech At Anantapur Rally

The Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan gave a powerful speech in front of the large gathering of people in Anantapur on Thursday. His speech titled as ‘Seemandhra Hakkula Chaitanya Sabha’ was more focused on granting special status to the Telangana state as was promised before the election. Pawan Kalyan criticized Congress, BJP as well as TDP on the Special Category Status issue as well as other issue. The main highlight of Pawan Kalyan’s Thursday’s speech was his homework, something which he had forgotten before, as he produced some key figures provided by the BJP and the TDP leaders in front of the people and caught them in their own words.

He also made several announcements such as opening his party’s first office in Anantapur as well as the important decision of contesting elections in the upcoming Assembly elections of 2019.

Alleging the state government for ignoring problems of Anantpur he said, “Why haven't State Government responded on the problems of Anantapur so far? I'm farmer by myself. I know the problems of farmers. I've seen many Anantapur people working as bonded labour in Bangalore. I'm saddened by listening to their woes.”

“I am ready to take up Anantapur woes notice to Delhi,” he said.

He also added he will always stand by the people even though they don’t vote for him. He said that Rayalaseema has rich history, legacy behind which can be write down on papers but what it does not have is an important basic need of drinking water.

Accusing center for stopping AP’s development he said, “One side, AP is crash-crunched. On other hand, Centre says it can only develop Airports only if State allots Land. These both are inter-linked and cannot be possible without Centre's intervention.”

“How much time it will take for an Industry to identify regions to set up. Then again, Centre would comeback and say we have given tax incentives but State hasn't utilized properly. It took two-and-half years for Govt to announce Tax Benefits for Setting up Industries,” he said.

He also commented on the Polavaram Project issue and said, “Polavaram Project has 3 categories. Water for Sevan-and-half lakh acres of land , 900 MW power generation and Drinking Water for over then 500 villages people and 28 Lakh people and Water for Industrial Purposes. For all these, the budget is estimated as Rs 16,000 Crore. But Centre stated it only takes care for the expenses of Irrigation. It means, Centre will only give Rs 8000 Crore.”

Accusing the Center for mincing words for providing grants to the state he said that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley says Rs. 2,03,000 crore being granted to AP, on the other hand Venkaiah Naidu says Center is giving Rs. 2,25,000 crore. There is a huge difference of Rs. 23,000 crore.

“When will you give? When will you bring Special Status? We're tired of listening to your promises. I urge all the leaders of state and national BJP leaders not to cheat the people of AP.Congress had delayed Telangana issue for long. If BJP delays Special Status now, what's the difference between BJP and Congress?”

He further added that he has studied a lot about Special Category Status. He has tremendous respect for PM Narendra Modi and believed that he would guide nation in right way. However, it does not stop him from questioning PM Modi if the injustice is done to the state.

Although Special Category Status might be ended for BJP and TDP, Special Status might work as elixir to a drought-hit Anantapur. New Political Force Jana Sena Emerges from the demand for Special Category Status of Andhra Pradesh.”

He also accused the previous UPA government and said that the Andhra Pradesh was divided unilaterally by closing the doors. He questioned why the division was announced in the midnight?
