Delhi: BMW Car Rams into Wagnor, Cab Driver Killed and Accused Arrested

On Sunday, an Uber cab driver was killed on the spot when a speeding BMW rammed a Wagonr near the IIT-Delhi campus. The accused has been arrested on Monday and booked for rash and negligent driving and over speeding.

Nazirul Islam had joined the cab fleet on Saturday. The accident took place at 11.30 pm near the Munirka flyover on Sunday. A speeding BMW X5 hit the Wagonr from behind and the impact was so hard that the rear portion of the wagnor car was completely destroyed.

The accused has been identified as 24-year-old Shoaib Kohli. He works with a private firm in Gurgaon.

The owner of the BMW X5 is a member of the Delhi Gymkhana Club. the vehicle is registered in the name of a company located in Chandigarh.

After the accident, the youngster along with his another friend fled the spot fearing arrest.

The cab river who died on spot was a resident of West Bengal. He was the only bread earner in his family of five that included two children. He stayed in Gurgaon with his family.

As soon as police got to know about the accident,  the Uber cab owner Taimur Islam was contacted. Investigation is going on and police has been interrogating the accused.
