Infosys Employee Found Murdered Inside her Office in Pune

In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old woman software engineer working for Infosys was strangled to death by an unidentified person in Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjawadi in Pune on Sunday.

According to the police, K Rasila Raju hailed from Kerala. She was allegedly strangulated with the help of a computer wire. The incident took place inside Infosys building on the ninth floor.

"The incident might have taken place around 5 pm but we received a call around 8 pm. Raju was employed as a software engineer by the firm," Assistant Commissioner of Police Vaishali Jadhav said.

She said, "though it was Sunday, Raju was working while her two teammates were online in Bengaluru."

"Her manager was trying to call her, but there was no response. The manager called and asked the security guard to go and check. When the security guard went to see her, she was found unconscious near her workstation," the officer said.

Cops also checked the CCTV footage of the building. A murder case has been registered against an unidentified person and investigation is on.

The cops have also informed her family. Rasila used to live with her friends. They told the cops that "she was an extremely jovial person who got along with everyone."

This is the second murder which took place in Pune within a span of two months. In December, a Capgemini employee named Antara Das was also murdered outside her office in Talawade area.
