Andhra Pradesh government has been fighting for the special status for the state which can help the state develop faster. However the BJP government convinced Chandra Babu and the state government with a special package which offers massive remuneration and financial support. Babu and TDP faced the heat about the special status of the state however Chandra Babu tried convincing the people about the struggle.
Now here comes a huge relief for AP as the Union cabinet approved the special assistance package for Andhra Pradesh. This includes Irrigation component for Polavaram project and the externally aided project funds. The centre’s approval gives legal sanctity to the special package offered. The financial loss due to this special status will be covered through the EAPs. It was during Spetember last year, the special package has been announced and it took much time for Centre for Legal Sanctity.
