15 IPS Officers Transferred In Telangana

The Telangana State Government has transferred fifteen IPS officers, including those based on promotions.

The two main wings in the Police Department - Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and Crime Investigation Department (CID) - which were headless for months have now got full time chiefs.

Among the transferred officers, was J. Purnachandra Rao, a 1988-batch officer, and chairman of the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB), was posted as Additional Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Prior to the new post, he served as the chairman of Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board.

Purnachandra Rao, has relieved Anurag Sharma, Director General of Police, from, the additional charge he had of the department, ACB.

Additional Director General of Police (Operations, Greyhounds and OCTOPUS), Govind Singh, will now serve as the Additional Director General of Police, Crime Investigation Department (CID).

A 1992-batch IPS officer, Jitendra was promoted to the rank of Additional Director General of Police and posted as Director of the Telangana State Police Academy.

Earlier, Jitendra, served as Hyderabad Traffic Police in-charge.

Soumya Mishra, of 1994 batch, was transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police (Welfare). She will even have a full additional charge of  of IGP, Women Protection Cell (WPC), CID.

M. Stephen Raveendra was promoted to the rank of Inspector General of Police and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).

Akun Sabharwal, earlier served as the DIG, for Hyderabad Range. He is presently posted as Director of Prohibition and Excise Department.

T V Shashidar Reddy, on promotion, was posted as Director, Vigilance and Enforcement. Earlier, Shashidar Reddy, was the Joint Commissioner of Rachakonda, a Village in Narayanapur Mandal in Nalgonda District of Telangana State.

DIG C Ravi Varma (Warangal Range) was transferred and posted as a DIG Karimnagar Range. IPS officer Y Nagi Reddy, took the charge over in place of Ravi Varma, and will hold a full additional charge of the DIG Warangal Range.

CID DIG N Sivashankar Reddy was transferred and posted as a DIG Nizamabad Range.

Khammam SP Shahnawaz Qasim, on promotion, was posted as Cyberabad Joint Commissioner replacing Stephen Ravindra.

Greyhounds Group Commander Tarun Joshi will be the Joint Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda.

DCP Tafseer Iqbal was transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Khammam. He earlier served in the LB Nagar area.

IPS officer B. Naveen Kumar, who was awaiting posting, was posted as Deputy Director, TSPA.
