Dalit, Girijan YSRCP MLAs Slam Fake Reports Of Andhra Jyothi:- The Dalit and Girijan MLAs of the YSR Congress Party said that they would file a suit against the Telugu Daily “Andhra Jyothi”.
It is alleged that the Telugu daily published baseless news stories aimed at abusing YSRCP and its chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. On Wednesday. Andhra Jyothi, published a news story claiming that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy had rebuked the Dalit and Girijan MLAs of the party for posing for photographers with Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu. Also, the news paper claimed that the social media was abuzz about YS Jagan asking the Dalit and Girijan MLAs to apologize by touching his feet.
It may be recalled that on Tuesday, YS Jagan along with his legislators met NDA Presidential nominee Ram Nath Kovind at Park Hyatt. YS Jagan during the meeting, introduced his party MLAs and extended support to Kovind. Jagan as a mark of respect to the senior BJP man, also touched his feet, during this time. The YSRCP legislators, by the time, wanted to have a group picture with Kovind. Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu offered to join the group photo, since Kovind was leaving.
However, the news was twisted by Andhra Jyothi, which said that the Dalit and tribal MLAs were rebuked by YS Jagan for posting for a photograph with Venkaiah. Meanwhile, the MLAs said that this was fake and said that it was YS Jagan who asked them to join the group photo. They demanded an apology from the Andhra Jyothy and said if no apology was forthcoming, they would file a case against the management.
YSRCP MLA Izhaiah, expressing anger over the fake and motivated report, said that Andhra Jyothy is resorting to mud-slinging against YS Jagan. He sought to know as to why the it had maintained silence when AP CM Chandrababu Naidu asked people not to walk on the roads he laid if they did not vote for him.
