AP CM Trying Every Trick Hard To Win Nandyal By-Elections:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party President Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu is seemingly trying every trick hard to win the Nandyal by-elections.
If Naidu is defeated in this election, it would demoralize the party and induce an anti-establishment sentiment throughout the State. The AP CM showered a bundle of sops for the voters during his visit to Nandyal and for the development of poll-bound constituency, unveiled a slew of projects.
Naidu even announced construction of three-bedroom houses for the journalists free of cost. This is quite obvious that Naidu is with a view to pamper the media.
“I promise that our government will construct three bed room houses for all the journalists by next year. And I will fulfill the promise,” he said.
However, the reporters present did not believe his words and there was no response from them. The AP CM then requested them to show their happiness in the form of claps. The journalists left with no option, had to cheer him loudly.
The CM was clever enough to leave a confusion in his promise. It was not clear whether all the journalists in the State would be allocated three bed-room houses or the sop was limited only to Nandyal constituency.
Whatever it is, media persons did not seem to have taken his promise seriously as they have seen leaders making several such promises which were never fulfilled.
Naidu’s Promises To Nandyal Voters
Even before the notification was issued for by-election, a desperate Chandrababu was camping in Nandyal for two days. He directed the officials to speed up the construction of houses sanctioned to beneficiaries. Besides supplying 20 litres purified drinking water at Rs2 per litre, he even directed to ensure facilitating tap connections to every house in rural and urban areas.
In a review meeting held with district officials at Roads and Buildings (R&B) Guest House on Sunday, the CM told the officials that Nandyal has to be beautified like Visakhapatnam. He also ordered to ensure steps for facilitating fiber grid at every village in the constituency to the concerned officials.
During the road widening works in the town, the CM directed to replace electric poles wherever necessary. Those who participated in the meeting were Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, Information and Technology Minister Kalva Srinivasulu, Minister for Agriculture Somireddy Chandra Mohan Reddy, District Collector S Sathya Narayana, Joint Collector Prasanna Venkatesh and other district officials and contractors.
In the same place, the CM later also participated in TDP activists’ meeting and suggested them to be alert on public issues. Naidu said all problems of people should be solved with the coordination of officials and good relations should be maintained with common man.
Chandrababu's Iftar Politics
While participating in an Iftar party hosted by government at a whopping Rs90 lakh during the Ramzan month in Nandyal, Chandrababu had announced several schemes for Muslims. Forgetting the religious importance of the occasion for Muslims, Chandrababu openly asked the Muslims to vote for TDP’s Nandyal bypoll candidate Brahmananda Reddy. He promised to construct 13,000 houses for people in Nandyal.
