All Eyes On Nandyal: Counting Starts

All Eyes On Nandyal: Counting Starts:- The whole Andhra Pradesh has been focused towards Nandyal after the by polls have been announced. With the sudden demise of Bhuma Nagireddy, a by-election has been announced and TDP, YSRCP took things prestigiously and campaigned throughout the constituency. Nandyal by polls are said to be a game changer for the parties in AP and they have been called as a curtain raiser for the 2019 Assembly and Parliament elections.

The election took place on August 23rd and the voting started today at 8 AM. Massive security arrangements have been made for the counting which is taking place in Nandyal Polytechnic College. A record breaking percentage of 82 have been polled for the first time in the constituency. 39 votes have been called invalid among the 250 postal ballet votes in Nandyal. Section 144 has been called in the constituency and the Andhra Pradesh government deployed over 600 cops to prevent any unexpected incidents to take place. Post elections, the situations turned worse after TDP and YSRCP got engaged in public fights. The cops found it tough to control the situations after bullets have been fired in air.

While TDP brought Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy on board, YSRCP got Silpa Mohan Reddy who made his move towards the party after TDP denied ticket for the senior politician. Analysts called it a tough fight and we have to wait for the completion of all the rounds to get the final result.  Nandyal rural votes will be counted in 1-5 rounds. 6 to 16 will have Nandyal Urban count and rounds 17-19 will have Gospadu mandal counting. The total number of votes polled are said to be 173189 and both the parties TDP and YSRCP sounded pretty confident on the victory.  We have to wait for some more hours to know which party will end up victorious in the prestigious Nandyal by polls.
