TN CM Palaniswami To Decide Date Today For Sasikala Ouster:- The majority camp led by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami have called for a meeting on Monday, to fix a date for convening of General Council meeting at which VK Sasikala is to be ousted as general secretary.
This move of the Palaniswami camp comes in wake of Sasikala’s nephew TTV Dinakaran threatening to destabilize the AIADMK Government with his 21 loyalist MLAs.
Meanwhile, Palaniswami was hit by a surgical strike on Sunday by Dinakaran with the embattled AIADMK leader removing the CM from Palaniswami from the post of Salem (suburban) district secretary. Though the Ministers and senior leaders accused Dinakaran of taking such decisions only due to his “greed for power”, he however justified his action of “removing” people from their post.
Dinakaran’s move comes in action as EPS camp was all set to meet party legislators, ministers and senior leaders to decide the date for the General Council meet to remove Sasikala from the General Secretary post. Removing Sasikala from the post, was one of the pre-conditions of Deputy Chief Minister, O. Paneerselvam for the merger of the two rival factions.
“The meeting is likely to decide the date for the General Council. The General Council meeting will pass a resolution on her (Sasikala’s) ouster from the post,” a senior leader said.
