Andhra Pradesh government is keen on developing the new capital Amaravathi with world class technology in all the available ways. Many International companies have been stepping forward to be a part of the state’s development. Now the latest update says that AP Government gave its nod for the feasibility study for the possibility of a Hyperloop between the new capital Amaravathi and Vijayawada. The state government is said to have joined hands with a USA based company yesterday and signed a MoU.
AP Economic Development Board (AP-EDB) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with US-based Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) in Amaravathi. However the expected cost of the project has not been disclosed by both government or the HTT. Government hinted that the project will take via public and private partnership after the completion of the feasibility study which has been scheduled to start next month.
APEDB Chief Executive Officer Krishna Kishore said that they are in plans for Hyperloop to prevent pollution. He said that they are embracing a prototype for mobility of the future. The drive will be stretched for 43 kms and it will just take six minutes. Hyperloop has been eyeing India to develop the technology and expand.
