Telangana Gears Up For Maha Bathukamma:- On the eve of Dasara festival, the people of Telangana have been celebrating Maha Bathukamma today in LB Stadium, Hyderabad which will take place today evening. Over 30000 women are expected to participate in this grand event which is said to be a new record. B Venkatesham, the Secretary of Tourism and Culture revealed that 30000 women would represent the shape of  Tangedu flower which happens to the be state’s flower and this event will set a new Guiness Record.

The Telangana government has special arrangements made for the massive event as 3000 specially trained women have been chosen to arrange the flowers with the name ‘Maha Bathukamma in LB Stadium. Women from 429 mandals will attend Maha Bathukamma and Telangana government allotted Rs 3 lakhs for each district for the amenities for the women to reach the venue. Rs 5 lakhs have been allotted for each district to organize Sadhula Bathukamma which will take place on September 28th.

The traffic will be restricted and diverted in the city on the eve of Maha Bathukamma at LB Nagar Stadium today between 4 PM and 10 PM. Parking arrangements have been made at Nizam College along with Exhibition Grounds, NTR Stadium and Public Gardens. Mobile toilets have been arranged for the people.
