IT Claims Sasikala And Family Evaded Rs 1430 Cr Tax:- The Income Tax department has been conducting flash raids on the properties of Sasikala and her close relatives. Though it is a surprise, the raids took place for over five days and IT officials have been left in shock because of the tax evasion. As much as Rs 1430 crores tax has been left unpaid and they say that the figure many even go up. Rs 7 crore cash along with Rs 5 crore worth gold jewellery has been seized. Hundreds of bank accounts have been frozen and 15 bank lockers are yet to be opened.

An IT official even informed that hundreds of diamonds have been seized and they will be evaluated soon. The IT officials kept a long trace on the family from sometime and they found out that they have ignored paying taxes after which the raids have been initiated. Karnataka's AIADMK leader V. Pugazhendi has been summoned and more details to be out soon.
