Hung In Karnataka: BJP Requests A Week Time To Prove Majority:- As expected through the exit-polls, Karnataka Assembly polls witnessed massive twists and ended up as a hung. However BJP managed to top the show with 104 seats and Congress won in 78 constituencies. JDS who has been named as the game changer managed to get 37 seats and three others have been independents. BJP expected a clear majority but fell short after which JDS and Kumaraswamy turned out to be crucial.
JDS made it clear that they would support Congress and met the Governor in Raj Bhavan today showing their full majority. However BJP wanted requested the Governor a week's time to prove their strength in the Assembly. As of now Congress and JDS are in plans to form the government and Congress offered Kumaraswamy to take the chair of Chief Minister. We have to wait to see the Governor's decision and how BJP can change the numbers if they wish to form the government.
