Donald Trump Invited For Republic Day 2019:- India invited US President Donald Trump as the Chief Guest for the Republic Day celebrations that will take place in January 2019. With US turning the biggest foreign policy coup, Narendra Modi's government sent an invitation to Donald Trump. An official reply is expected from US and reports suggest that Donald Trump is quite favourable to accept the invitation. The invite was followed up with several rounds of diplomatic engagement over the issue.

Earlier Barak Obama attended as the Chief Guest for Republic Day celebrations in 2015. Indian Government is hoping that India would be among the countries that will be granted a waiver on importing crude from Iran by the USA. Modi's government is also in plans to ensure the presence of international heavyweights on Republic Day.
