9200 Panchayat Secretaries For Focused Governance In Telangana:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who earlier announced that he would appoint Secretaries for Panchayats kept his promise. He announced that 9200 villages will be appointed Secretaries to ensure a focused development and governance. KCR spoke about this a review meeting that has been held in Pragathi Bhavan with the Panchayat Raj Department officials on Sunday.

KCR revealed that the recruitment process will start in a week and the entire process would be completed in the next couple of months. KCR revealed that irrespective of the size, every Panchayat will have a Secretary. They will be on probation for three years and a pay of Rs 15000 per month has been fixed for them. Telangana has 12,751 village panchayats and 3562 have Secretaries appointed.
