Karunanidhi's Health Declined: Tamil Nadu Tensed: DMK Chief M Karunanidhi has been battling for life and his health situation deteriorated from the last couple of days. His health condition has been supervised by a team of expert doctors in Kauvery Hospitals, Chennai and the doctors issued a health bulletin last evening that Karunanidhi's health condition has been critical. They even revealed that his health condition would be monitored for the next 24 hours after which a medical report will be issued.

The doctors set a 24-hour time frame to determine the prognosis. Right after the hospital released the medical bulletin about his health decline, thousands of DMK supporters gathered outside the hospital praying for the recovery of their favorite politician. “Maintaining his vital organ functions continues to remain a challenge considering his age-related ailments. He is on continuous monitoring and being treated with active medical support. His response to the medical intervention over the next 24 hours will determine the prognosis,” said Aravindan Selvaraj, executive director of Kauvery Hospital through the health bulletin.

Tamil Nadu Government deployed over 1200 armed reserve policemen as standby and 400 have been asked to surround the hospital.
