DMK Plans An Urgent Executive Committee Meeting:- DMK Chief M Karunanidhi passed away recently and the whole state mourned his sudden demise. In less than three days of the demise of the veteran politician, DMK announced that it would hold an urgent Executive Committee Meeting on August 14th at 10 AM. The party's working President MK Stalin met General Secretary K Anbazhagan this morning after which the announcement stepped out.

There have been wide speculations that MK Stalin will take charge as the Party President from Working President. However some of the party members revealed that Stalin should continue as the Working President and work in the absence of the President. The post of President should remain vacant for now expressed several leaders. Some of them revealed that the President position can be filled during the General Council meet. There are even speculations that daughter of Karunanidhi, Kanimozhi will be assigned a key role in the party.
