MK Stalin Elected As DMK President Unanimously

MK Stalin Elected As DMK President Unanimously:- The first General Council meeting of DMK has been held today after the demise of party Chief M Karunanidhi who passed away recently. MK Stalin has been elected as the new President of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) unanimously. MK Stalin will take over the reins from his father after he filed the nomination on Sunday. MK Stalin has been the Working President of the party and is the third leader of DMK after Annadurai and Karunanidhi. M K Alagiri, son of Karunanidhi recently announced that the party loyalists are by his side.

However MK Stalin won the election unanimously and the entire DMK came to his support. Alagiri has been suspended from the party in 2014 for his anti-party activities. Alagiri warned MK Stalin of the consequences if he is not taken into the party. But Stalin preferred not to respond on this. MK Stalin will have huge challenges with the elections heading next year. DMK leaders demanded Bharata Ratna for Karunanidhi for his immense contribution to the country.
