South States asked to Fix their time for Crackers: The Supreme Court on October 23rd revealed that all the people of country should fix a time frame to burn the crackers between 8 PM and 10 PM on Diwali and the time should not exceed two hours. However the apex court stepped out with a change for the South states and asked them to fix the time slot to celebrate the event. However it imposed a condition that the time should be strictly for two hours and it should not be exceeded. With some of them celebrating Diwali and burning crackers in the mornings in South states, the Supreme Court exempted them.

Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Puducherry (UT) can celebrate any time. Justice AK Sikri and Ashok Bhushan after hearing the counsel stepped out with the decision. The court also clarified that the South Indians residing in North India should follow the rules of North Indians and should not burn crackers during the day time. The burning of green crackers is applicable in Delhi NCR and not for the rest of the country. Some other pending decisions about the fire crackers will be out today as per the Supreme Court.
