Finally, Vijay Mallya To Be Extradited To India:- Liquor baron Vijay Mallya has been residing in UK after he owes Rs 9000 crores to various Indian banks. He flew from the country and made several unusual comments. Now the Chief Magistrate Emma Arbuthnot of the Westminster Magistrates’ Court ordered the extradition of Vijay Mallya. CBI and Enforcement Directorate filed a petition with the UK Court and Vijay Mallya has been given 14 days to appeal the order in a higher court.

'I am sending Dr Mallya’s case to the Home Secretary of State for a decision to be taken on whether to order his extradition' said Magistrate. In case, Mallya stands without appealing, he will be extradited within 28 days. A team of CBI and ED officials including CBI Joint Director Sai Manohar flew to London. CBI and ED have been completely successful in explaining how funds have been diverted and how Mallya flew from the country. The court expressed its satisfaction over the assurances given by the Indian Government about the jails and the medical conditions in them.
