Congress Not Keen on Prime Minister's Chair

Congress Not Keen on Prime Minister's Chair:- The last phase of Lok Sabha polls in the country are scheduled to take place on May 19th and the results would be out on May 23rd. The whole country is eagerly waiting for the big day and national parties BJP, Congress are quite confident of sweeping the polls. Congress has been in talks with various regional parties to seek their support in case of not getting a complete majority. Congress presented Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister candidate if they form the government but here comes a twist now.

Senior Congress leader Gulam Nabi Azad clarified that Congress is not bothered about the Prime Minister's chair but they intend to form the government at the Centre. He said Congress will join hands with any other party for complete majority and this is an indication that Congress is expecting a hung in the Parliament. A movement from all the regional parties started recently and in a wake, Congress is in plans to gain their attention and support before the results would be out. On the other side, other senior Congress leaders feel that Congress will emerge as the single largest party with complete majority in the Lok Sabha polls.
