44 Dead and 34 Injured After a Bus Falls in Himachal's Kullu:- At least 44 people have been killed and 34 people have been injured after an overloaded bus fell into a drain in Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh. The incident took place yesterday and the bus fell into a 300-metre-deep nullah near Dhoth Morh in Banjar tehsil. Overloading and negligent driving are the reasons for the disaster revealed the primary investigation. The injured were rushed to Banjar Civil Hospital and some of them are critical.
Most of the victims are said to be the residents of Kullu district. Some of them are critical and they are shifted to PGI Chandigarh. Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur expressed grief about the incident. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered and the best medical care has been ordered for the injured passengers. Immediate relief of Rs 50,000 has been announced to the kin of each deceased and injured.
