Political Leaders Greet the Nation on Eid Al-Adha:- On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha on Monday, scores of Muslims across the nation are celebrating the festival with pleasure. Many thronged mosques across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to offer prayers.
On that account, Telangana Governor E. S. L. Narasimhan and Chief Ministers of both the Telugu states - Telangana and Andhra Pradesh greeted Muslims on the occasion of Eid Qurban, also known as Bakrid and ‘Festival of Sacrifice’.
E.S.L. Narasimhan said: "Bakrid (Eid-ul-Adha) holds immense significance in the Islamic faith and is celebrated with great reverence."
"Bakrid symbolizes sacrifice, absolute devotion to God and compassion for the poor. It also emphasises the principle of sharing. Let this spirit of charity and goodwill towards all be cherished and nourished," he said.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao also conveyed his greetings to the Muslim community, saying: "It's a festival of sacrifice and reminds everyone to follow the noble teachings of the prophet and imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, compassion, and tolerance for fellow beings.”

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy tweeted saying that Eid symbolizes sacrifice, patience, and harmony. "Greetings to Muslims on the occasion of Bakrid which is celebrated in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim's sacrifice," tweeted Jagan Reddy.

Greeting people on Eid al-Adha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoped that the festival will further the spirit of peace and happiness in the society.
“My best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. I hope it furthers the spirit of peace and happiness in our society. Eid Mubarak!,” Modi wrote on Twitter.
