Chidambaram's Restless Night in Tihar Jail: Indian ex-Finance Minister P Chidambaram is facing allegations in INX Media Case and the Delhi Court rejected his bail petition. The top Congress leader was sent to Tihar jail last evening and he spent a restless first night in the jail. He was lodged in jail number 7 in Tihar Jail. This is the cell which is allocated for those who are accused in cases related to the Enforcement Directorate. Chidambaram spent a sleepless night in his cell and was restless.

Chidambaram was given tea and breakfast at 6 AM this morning. Like for others, he was served bread, poha and porridge. Chidambaram was given no special facilities in Tihar jail. Chidambaram generally enjoys Z+ security. Chidambaram will be allowed to walk outside the prison. He was given permission to carry his spectacles and medicines to the prison. Chidambaram has been given 14-day custody. Chidambaram can watch television for a time period and will have access to the library of the prison.
