Telangana Secretariat Vacated: Discussion Tomorrow:- The Telangana state cabinet will meet tomorrow afternoon to discuss about the construction of the new Secretariat of the state along with other ongoing issues. The cabinet will also finalize the legislation aimed to make the revenue system more transparent in Telangana. The meeting chaired by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) will take place tomorrow in Pragathi Bhavan at 4 PM. The gates of the old secretariat have been locked today excluding the banks that are operating from there.

Telangana Government granted Rs 500 crores to construct the new Secretariat complex. The CM's office in this while will function from Hyderabad Metro Rail building. The Finance Ministery is in Aranya Bhavan and the Home Minister is moved to DG office. The date of demolition of the old complex will be taken soon after which the works will be carried. Telangana Government received a huge setback from the state's High Court after it asked the government to stall the decision of the new Secretariat in Errum Manzil. The heritage structure should be protected felt Telangana High Court.

All the opposition parties have been protesting against the government's decision. KCR is also expected to take a call on TSRTC merger as the JAC called for strike from October 5th.
