Rajnath Singh Receives The First Rafale Fighter Jet:- Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh received the first of the 36 French-built Rafale fighter jet which has the tail number RB-001. It was officially delivered to Rajnath Singh yesterday. The grand ceremony took place at Merignac in the presence of French Army Minister Florence Parly. Members of the top military brass of France as well as senior officials of Dassault Aviation, the makers of Rafale, were also present at the ceremony.

A deal of Rs 60,000 crores was inked between India and France for the 36 fighter jets. Rajnath Singh landed in France for his three-day visit and he had a meeting with the French President Emanuel Macron. Rajnath said that they are in plans to take up the relationship between India and France to the next level. Rajnath Singh performed Shastra Puja on the day of Dasara after the first fighter jet was delivered.
