AP Media Houses to be Sued for Baseless Reports Against the Government:- Andhra Pradesh government is focused and is on a strict stand on media which wanted to spread a negative wave against the government. A decision has been taken by the state cabinet yesterday which decided to sue the media houses to the court if they carry any stories against the government without solid evidence. The secretaries of various departments will be responsible to file defamatory cases against the media (print, electronic, social and digital media) if the department finds stories against the government and are without pieces of evidence.

Earlier, the departments used to send rejoinders to such negative stories to the media houses through special commissioner of the Information and Public Relations Department. This is sure a huge move from AP Government and the legal action could be taken in 24 hours against the organization which is responsible for spreading fake news. AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is keen on preventing the negative wave from the media at this crucial point of time in the state.
