Land Scam Behind Vijaya Reddy Murder:- Telangana Tahasildhar Vijaya Reddy was set on fire and murdered in her office yesterday by a farmer Suresh. The incident created a huge sensation. Suresh too set himself on fire and he survived with major fire injuries. After rushing him to a private hospital, Suresh was later shifted to Osmania Hospital, Hyderabad. Going deep into the case, Suresh has been in touch with Vijaya Reddy from the past two years over a land issue. Suresh hails from Bachaaram village in Abdullapurmet. The total land is 412 acres and it belongs to a Zamindar from Maharashtra. He moved to his own state after which several people acquired them and cultivated the farms.

With the huge rise in the value of land, several people claimed them to be their lands and several cases have been registered about this. Suresh says that he owns two acres of land which came from his forefathers. With Vijaya Reddy not responding on his land, Suresh wanted to take revenge and killed Vijaya Reddy in her office yesterday. A case has been registered against Suresh and the investigation is on. The revenue officials boycotted and called for a strike today across Telangana as a protest for Vijaya Reddy's murder.
