Mamata Banerjee and Asaduddin Owaisi Exchange Words:- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee yesterday made some unusual comments for which Asaduddin Owaisi of the AIMIM took a hit back. Mamata Banerjee said that extremism is coming from minorities and there are even extremists in Hindus. She said that there is a political party in Hyderabad which is taking money from BJP. She made these comments during a rally in Cooch Behar referring to All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen, a Hyderabad-based party. This did not go well with the party and the supporters of AIMIM.
Asaduddin Owaisi took a dig back on Mamata today saying that Mamata is sending a message to Muslims across West Bengal that Asaduddin Owaisi's party is a formidable force in the state. Asaduddin Owaisi said that Mamata is showcasing her fear and frustration with her comments. Asaduddin Owaisi reminded that BJP won 18 of the 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal and Mamata is worried about a small bunch of his party from Hyderabad. Asaduddin Owaisi already expressed his interest to contest in West Bengal in the upcoming Assembly elections in 2021.
AIMIM recently won two seats in Maharashtra and Asaduddin Owaisi is quite confident in making their impact across the country soon. The Owaisi’s party also got a significant vote share on many seats. The party also registered its first electoral victory in Bihar, where party candidate Qamrul Hoda won from Kishanganj in byelection.
