Chidambaram's Judicial Custody Extended:- Former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram is facing allegations of money laundering in the INX Media case and is being drilled by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) along with the Enforcement Directorate (ED). A Delhi court today extended the judicial custody of Chidambaram till December 11th. Special Judge Ajay Kumar passed the order after the Enforcement Directorate officials sought extension of Chidambaram's custody for two more weeks.

The court agreed with the arguments of the ED and extended his judicial custody. The Enforcement Directorate officials are interrogating Chidambaram in the premises of Tihar Jail on a regular basis. A room has been allocated for investigation and the court fixed the timings which had regular breaks. Though Chidambaram received bail in a couple of cases, he is yet to get complete relief. The ED officials collected strong evidence of money laundering when Chidambaram worked as the Union Minister. They argued not to grant bail as Chidambaram may spoil the evidence and impact others involved in this case.
