No Second Capital in South India Clarifies Centre:- A wave of speculations are on about the second national capital in South India. Debates triggered across social media and the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand issued a clarification in Rajya Sabha yesterday on this. Keeping an end to all the speculations, Nityanand clarified that the Centre has no such plans of second national capital in South India. Congress Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao raised this issue in the Upper House on Thursday. BJP senior leader Ch Vidyasagar Rao earlier suggested Hyderabad as the second capital of the country.

Telangana Chief Minister KCR too supported this proposal. The national capital New Delhi turned into a gas chamber due to its dangerous levels of pollution. The severe pollution in Delhi has triggered a debate on shifting the national capital to another location or form a second capital for the country. But the Centre now clarified that there are no such plans for the government. Earlier, Congress opposed the second capital option after Telangana Chief Minister KCR supported the proposal. As far as natural disasters are considered, Hyderabad is a safe place to live.
