Voting Begins Amid Tight Security in Delhi:- The Assembly battle in New Delhi started today and voting for 70-member constituencies is on. The ruling AAP, BJP and Congress are in the battle. More than 1.47 crore voters are casting their votes today. The voting started at 8 AM amid tight security all over and will continue till 6 PM. People have been spotted rushing to cast their votes from the morning. 672 candidates are testing their luck in this battle. Paramilitary personnel are deployed in sensitive regions like Shaheen Bagh, Jamia Nagar and Seelampuri. There are a total of 81 lakh male voters and 66.80 female voters in New Delhi.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal requested everyone to come and cast their vote in the Delhi Assembly polls. BJP President JP Nadda also requested the people of Delhi to vote. 13,750 polling booths are arranged across 2689 locations in New Delhi. AAP is quite confident on retaining the government while BJP, Congress are confident on forming the government. Arvind Kejriwal said they would sweep up 67 out of the 70 seats. AAP got 54.3% votes in 2015 whole BJP managed to get 32% votes in the polls.
