YS Jagan Requests Amit Shah To Abolish Legislative Council

YS Jagan Requests Amit Shah To Abolish Legislative Council:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is in his Delhi tour and he met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with some requests and proposals. On the second day of his tour, YS Jagan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He wanted the Centre to support for the abolition of the Legislative Council of Andhra Pradesh which is left pending before the Union Cabinet. Andhra Pradesh Assembly passed the bill which is kept pending by the Cabinet. After YSRCP MPs failed to convince the Centre, YS Jagan himself stepped in to convince Amit Shah and the cabinet of ministers.

The meeting with Amit Shah went for an hour last night. YS Jagan extended his Delhi trip for one more day and he is expected to return back this evening. YS Jagan is said to have explained Shah about Legislative Council which turned out to be a barrier for the AP Government and he wanted the Centre to respond about the abolition immediately. YS Jagan also requested Shah to rethink about the Special Status for Andhra Pradesh which has been pending from a long time. He is said to have discussed the government's plan about the three capitals of Andhra Pradesh.
