CAA Protests in Delhi: Constable Killed and Several Injured:- The protests against CAA reached new heights in the national capital, New Delhi. A head constable was killed in the clash that broke between pro and anti-CAA groups. A deputy Commissioner of Police was badly injured in the incident and he is hospitalized. The cops found it tough to control the situation and a petrol pump was set on fire in North-East Delhi's Bhajanpura region. The protestors also set two houses on fire in Jaffrabad and Maujpur. The clashes occurred for the second day in a row.
Several protestors pelted stones after which the situations were out of control. Section 144 was imposed at ten locations in the North-east district. US President Donald Trump is currently in New Delhi on a two-day visit to the country. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal requested the people to be peaceful and asked them to stop the violence. The Delhi cops released a statement asking the people to stay calm and maintain peace.
