KCR Hints Of Hike In Property Tax And Power Tariff:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) today announced that there would be a hike in the property tax and power tariff in Telangana soon. This would be to provide better services for the people and to develop the villages and towns across Telangana. KCR urged the people to bear the hike as this would help them provide better facilities. KCR made sure that the people living below the poverty line will not be burdened because of this. KCR made these comments in Assembly during the discussion about Palle Pragathi.

"Telangana government is not here to make fake promises. To provide better governance, taxes should be increased. For this property taxes and power tariffs should be increased. For Dalits and tribals, there would be no hike. Corruption will not be tolerated in any field. All government officials should do their duties with perfection. Telangana government will initiate legal action against them if the employees are not bound to their duties. Sarpanches and Panchayat Secretaries will be responsible to collect the taxes in their villages" said KCR.
