TTD Board Orders To Close Tirumala Temple:- With the coronavirus outrage across the globe, everyone is kept alert and people have been asked to stay indoors. All the educational institutions, theatres, shopping malls and public places are asked to shut down. Marriages and public events are banned as of now. The Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam Board decided to shut down Tirumala temple right from this evening at 6 PM. The ghat road and the Pushkarni ghat are closed to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Now the visitors are banned and the temple will remain shut.

TTD asked everyone to vacate the temple premises. However the priests will be present to perform the regular poojas for Lord Venkateswara on regular basis. As of now, the temple will remain shut till the end of this month and the further call will be taken once the update on coronavirus comes. The closure may get extended if the number of cases in coronavirus witnesses a rise. The Health officials of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana got alerted and are busy with the operations. All the airports are screened and special task force teams are arranged in Andhra Pradesh.
