21 Indian Navy Personnel Tested Positive With Coronavirus

21 Indian Navy Personnel Tested Positive With Coronavirus:- 21 personnel from the Indian Navy are tested positive with coronavirus with the naval premises located in Mumbai. 20 among them are spotted as the sailors of INS Angre which happens to be a shore establishment in Mumbai. The number may go up as there are several tests that are awaited. This is the first time that Indian Navy officials are tested positive with coronavirus in the country. Most of the cases are said to be asymptomatic and it all started after a sailor was tested positive on April 7th. All these Indian Navy personnel reside in the same accommodation block at the INS Angre.

The entire INS Angre was kept under quarantine and is in lockdown. All the needed actions are taken and the infected officers are monitored by a team of expert doctors. The Indian Navy clarified that there are no cases of infected patients on the ships and submarines. INS Angre is known to handle the shore-based logistics and are responsible for the administrative duties of the Western Naval Command. The Indian Navy is now looking to test all the officers and people who interacted with these infected Navy officials. The Naval Dockyard lies just a few hundred meters away from the INS Angre.

India now has 14,000 coronavirus cases and 480 people passed away in the country.
