Coronavirus Cases In India Reach 27,964:- The number of coronavirus cases in the country crossed 27,000 mark after 1400 cases are reported in India in the past 24 hours. The total number of cases in the country reached 27,964 as per the reports today morning. 48 people passed away in the past one day as per the records from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. India now has 20,835 active cases and 111 are foreign nationals. Maharashtra is badly hit and is leading the list with over 8000 cases in the state with 342 deaths. Gujarat is the second worst-hit state with 3000 cases and is followed by Delhi with 2918 cases and Rajasthan with 2185 cases.

Though the Centre imposed relaxation across the green zones, things continued to be strict across the hotspots and red zones. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a crucial meeting with all the Chief Ministers of the country and will take a call on the extension of lockdown which is imposed till May 4th. It is heard that most of the Chief Ministers are in plans to support the extension of lockdown. The total number of coronavirus infected cases across the globe crossed 30 lakhs and over 2 lakhs people passed away. USA is the worst-hit country with 9,39,249 cases and Spain stands second with 2,23,759 cases. Italy has 1,95,351 cases and Germany has 1,56,513 cases.
