Nirmala Sitharaman Announces Funds To Support Farmers:- Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been meeting the press on a regular basis to update about how the allocated 20 lakh crores will be spent to support various fields during this coronavirus crisis. In her announcements made today, Nirmala Sitharaman came up to support farmers and for the welfare of fisheries and food processing. Rs 1 lakh crore has been announced for the startups in agriculture which are investing in cold storages and warehouses. All these benefits would be used for the farmers.
Rs 10,000 crores are allocated for the manufacturing of nutritional products. Rs 500 crores are allocated for the supply chains that are disturbed due to lockdown. Rs 500 crores will be allotted for beekeeping initiatives. Rs 4000 crores are announced for the promotion of herbal cultivation. Rs 15,000 crores fund will be established for Animal Husbandary infrastructure. Rs 20,000 crores are for PM Matsya Sampada Yojana and 100% vaccine will be given for the cattle which will cover 53 crore animals in the country.
Rs 10,000 crores fund for the micro food enterprises. Nirmala Sitharaman also said that Rs 18,700 crores will be transferred to farmers under PM Kisan program. Rs 6400 crores are released under PM Fasal Bima Yojana.
