Telangana Government Scraps The System Of VROs

Telangana Government Scraps The System Of VROs:- The government of Telangana decided to scrap the system of Village Revenue Officer (VRO) system in the state. Somesh Kumar, The Chief Secretary of Telangana asked the collectors of all the districts to collect the records from the respective department before 3 PM today and submit these records to the government of Telangana before 5 PM today. VROs expressed their dissatisfaction with the surprising and sudden decision made by the Telangana government for removing them. The government took this decision to prevent the corruption in the state's Revenue Department. There are several doubts among the VROs in the state.

The Revenue Employees Association questioned the Telangana government to clarify their position. The Tahsildars informed the VROs about the situation to them asking them to submit all the records to the concerned department before the deadline. The VRO system will be abolished soon, told the government of Telangana a year ago. This is taken as a part of the new Revenue Act that the government introduced. Telangana Chief Minister KCR is quite focused to wipe out the corruption in the Revenue Department of the state. KCR warned about further losses if the Revenue department goes ahead for a strike against the government of Telangana.
