Rahul Gandhi detained when he is on his way to meet Hathras rape victim's family:- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have been detained when they were on their way to meet the family members of Hathras gang-rape victim who was brutally raped by a gang of four. The rape victim passed away couple of days ago after she battled for life for two weeks in a private hospital in Delhi. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi started their journey on road and they are detained for promoting large gatherings. The leaders of Congress followed Rahul Gandhi and their convoy was stopped near the Pari Chowk. Rahul Gandhi decided to continue his journey on foot after which he was arrested.

There was a huge high drama before his arrest after a mob of cops surrounded Rahul and restricted him. The visuals are now all over social media circles. Rahul Gandhi said that he wishes to walk to Hathras alone and questioned the cops about the sections that will arrest him. The cops filed a case under section IPC 188 for the violation of the order. He was pushed and Rahul Gandhi fell on the ground during the tussle. Congress leaders slammed the leading BJP for their behaviour against Rahul Gandhi. The 19-year-old Dalit girl passed away in Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi when she was undergoing a treatment. She was cremated in Hathras during the early hours of Wednesday in a hurry and this triggered various controversies. The local police forced the family of the dalit girl to conduct the last rites.
