YS Jagan Launches Jagananna Vidya Kanuka In Andhra Pradesh:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy launched 'Jagananna Vidya Kanuka' program today in the state at Punadipadu Government High School in Krishna district. The program will target and benefit 52 lakh students in the government-run schools of the state as per the official word. AP Government is spending Rs 650 crores to provide education for the students in the state. Each student between class first to tenth will receive a kit worth Rs 1600 for free. This consists of three pairs of uniforms along with a pair of shoes, socks and a backpack. It also has a belt along with the textbooks and notebooks of their respective class.
The Andhra Pradesh government has also taken a call to provide three face masks for the students under the scheme along with the Jagananna Vidya Kanuka kit. The schools are set to reopen in the state from November 2nd and the government asked the parents to take the final call on sending their children to school in this coronavirus pandemic time. The government of AP decided to distribute the kids on the first day of the academic year, the plans are delayed due to the coronavirus. A total number of 42,34,322 kits will be distributed for students across the state under Jagananna Vidya Kanuka scheme. The officials bought the material through reverse tendering and e-procurement.

The government of Andhra Pradesh is also in plans to introduce Nadu-Nedu in the government schools with ten basic facilities before the academic year commences in Andhra Pradesh.
