Telangana Secretariat Works to Start from Dasara:- The construction work of the new Secretariat building of Telangana will commence from the auspicious day of Dasara. The Telangana government took things prestigiously and the new Secretariat is designed with all the latest equipment and is planned on lavish standards. The Roads and Buildings Department will open the bids on October 16th to speed up the process. The fresh tenders are called on September 14th after Telangana Chief Minister KCR suggested several changes in the design. Sources told that the changes of KCR brought a better elevation for the Secretariat without any additional cost.

All the prospective bidders will have to submit the tender documents between September 30th and October 13th. The technical bids will start on October 13th evening. The final bids will be locked on October 16th. The Telangana Secretariat will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 500 crores and the old complex was demolished recently. Too keep controversies away, KCR wanted a temple, church and a mosque in the premises of the new Secretariat which will be expanded across 25 acres. The premises will have enough ventilation, parking facilities and open spaces.

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Dasara and the target is to complete the construction by October 2021.
