Kamal Haasan Declares Rs 176 Cr Assets and Rs 50 Cr Liabilities:- South Indian Superstar Kamal Haasan has been keen to make his impact in politics. His party Makkal Needhi Maiam is active for the last couple of years and Kamal Haasan announced that his party would contest in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly polls. Kamal Haasan filed his nomination from the Coimbatore South constituency. The Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu will take place on April 6th and the results would be declared on May 2nd. The top actor declared his assets after he filed his nomination. He declared his movable assets worth Rs 45 crores and the value of his immovable assets as Rs 131 crores. Kamal Haasan filed tax returns of Rs 22.1 crores for the year 2019-20.

Kamal Haasan also declared Rs 2.43 crores in bank deposits, Rs 26.1 lakhs in mutual fund investments and Rs 2.39 crores in insurance, Rs 36.24 crores as his personal loans. The actor also declared Rs 3.69 crores in vehicles and he announced that he owns a BMW 730LD and a Lexus Lx 570. His movable assets are close to Rs 45 crores. Kamal Haasan also owns agricultural land worth Rs 17.79 crores which is 35.59 acres. From the other immovable assets, Kamal Haasan owns commercial spaces in Chennai worth Rs 92.05 crores. Kamal Haasan also owns two residences in Chennai that are worth Rs 19.5 crores. Kamal Haasan also declared that he owns a joint property in London that is worth Rs 2.5 crores.
Among the Rs 49.5 crore liabilities, Kamal Haasan has Rs 33.16 crores in housing loans and other loans. Rs 15.33 crores are the dues that the actor has to pay to other individuals and entities. The actor also declared about the three FIRs against him. In the Lok Sabha 2019 polls, Kamal's party got 37.5 percent votes. For the first time, Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Maiam is contesting in the Assembly polls with two other alliances. Kamal is busy touring across the state ahead of the polls.
