JD Lakshmi Narayana files a PIL against Vizag Steel Plant Privatization:- JD Lakshmi Narayana happens to be the former Joint Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). To serve the people of Andhra Pradesh, he retired from his position and joined Pawan Kalyan's Janasena. JD Lakshmi Narayana contested from Vizag and lost in the polls. He has been inactive in politics from the past few months. He has been waiting for the right opportunity to make his comeback in AP politics. With Vizag Steel Plant privatization turning out to be the burning topic, all the politicians are protesting against the Centre's move. JD Lakshmi Narayana filed a PIL against the Vizag Steel Plant privatization in the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The petition is expected to come to a hearing in the AP High Court tomorrow. JD Lakshmi Narayana has been closely following the agitation and the views expressed by the politicians. YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh too penned a letter to the Centre explaining about the situation in the state after the Centre announced the privatization of Vizag Steel Plant. JD Lakshmi Narayana also wrote a letter to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He explained about the international standards and modern machinery that is owned by the Vizag Steel Plant. Vizag Steel Plant paid Rs 43,700 crores to the government as taxes. The Centre has been focused on privatization and is keen to use the funds for the new infrastructure.
